The County of Warwickshire

Map - John ShortWarwickshire is located in the centre of England. It is largely a rural county, but with areas of urbanisation in places such as Coventry, Birmingham and the Warwick/Leamington Spa conurbation.

Warwickshire was not particularly prosperous during the Industrial Revolution and later and therefore many old and interesting bells remain as they were and were not recast or replaced. Bells in rings in the county range in date from around 1400AD up to 2020AD.

This means that there is a wide range of wonderful churches and rings of bells, from Coventry and Birmingham Cathedrals, via large churches, such as St Mary’s church in Warwick, to the beautiful countryside churches; such as Burton Dassett, standing proudly alone on the top of a hill.
